What would you do right now, if you didn’t have a concern about anything at all; if finances, beliefs, doubts or how you appear to others didn’t get in the way? In this moment and in every moment, what if the only thing that drove your every decision was the wisdom gleaned to you while in a perpetual state of alignment and freedom?
If you have ever spent even a minute in full presence with nature, you have experienced the possibility that comes from ultimate freedom. In that moment, what comes to you? Fear and overwhelm may rise but it is what follows that is for you to embody. When in that state of awe and wonder, what do you notice? Is it the posture of the pine tree, the rippling of a nearby stream or the stillness of the lake? Perhaps it is the vastness of a clear blue sky, the touch of air on your skin, a sense of the trees’ roots beneath your feet. Do you want to move? Be still? Breath? Chant? Sing?
There, in the presence of All That Is, is usually a jump from where you are physically in nature to where you are spiritually while in the acute awareness of your connection with the God. This is you in alignment with your essence. In this space, what shows up? At first, it may be things like joy, gratitude, emotion, peace. What comes after that? You may get flashes of things or messages. Do you see visions of people being enlightened by your words? Is it putting your good ideas into production? Is it movement or dance? Is it a cause? Is it allowing others to love you? Whatever it is that comes to you in that moment is a divine message specifically for you. It is always life giving and positive. Following it brings about abundance. It is also your gift to the world, a reflection of the Divine’s gift to you. Truly, it is that simple.
If you were to live in this space, what then would you offer the world and what would that give you? I get goose bumps just thinking about it.
Exercise to consider:
Spend 10 to 30 minutes by the lake, taking a walk at the nature center, on a quiet beach, in the woods, etc. Set the intention to be with the magnificence reflecting your own. Move in it. Sing in it. Breathe in it. Be in it. Recognize that the space around you is your reflection. Notice. When you are finished, say a word of gratitude for the gifts bestowed upon you while there and make a prayer to take these gifts into your daily life.
